Alexandra Tseitlin
Alexandra V. Tseitlin has dedicated her career to fighting for the rights of the criminally accused and immigrants. For nearly four decades, Ms. Tseitlin has zealously and successfully defended people charged with state and federal criminal offenses at all stages of criminal proceedings. Her practice has spanned the full range of the criminal justice system, from white-collar crime, narcotics, health care offenses, and violent crimes.
Ms. Tseitlin has highly distinguished herself with her extensive experience at both state, federal and immigration practice. She has defended clients in hundreds of state cases, in cases before the federal courts, federal agencies, the Immigration Courts and the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Prior to forming her successful private practice in New York more than thirty years years ago, Ms. Tseitlin was an attorney with the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division. Ms. Tseitlin has learned to listen, care and fight for those who have had no means to hire a private lawyer and no one to fight for them. Ms. Tseitlin successfully applied these skills in her private practice.
Ms. Tseitlin also has extensive experience in immigration law — a legal areas requiring constant attention to ever-changing interpretations and evolving opportunities for her clients who hope to live and work in the United States.
Ms. Tseitlin assists small and medium-sized businesses in sponsoring foreign talent, including accountants, architects, computer professionals, writers, athletes, scientists, artists, and other skilled workers.

Ms. Tseitlin graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics and she received her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law in 1987. Ms. Tseitlin is a member of the New York Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, American Immigration Lawyers Association, New York County Lawyers Association, Brooklyn and Queens Bar Associations.
